I work with corporate wikees and enjoy writing about web technologies. I have a husband and son and live in the Piedmont Triad, North Carolina. My impetus for blogging began in the summer of 2007 when the topic came up at work. I decided that if I am going to eventually be working with blogs, I may as well experience it for myself first. I have always enjoyed reading them and love traveling through the internet. I am quite certain that I could replace TV with the Web and would not wince a bit.

I grew up in the Sauratown Mountains (a chain that runs perpendicular to the Appalachian Mountains) in a small town of 150 people. I use to call the mountain we lived on purgatory mountain. My first PC was a TRS80 and I was in grade school at the time. We later moved to Greensboro, where I finished school and went on to Greensboro College and UNC-Greensboro. I have a Bachelor of Arts in political science and German and recently completed my Master’s in applied geography. I recently completed a contract job and am debating my next adventure.
